Who is eligible for Vera services?

Vera Whole Health is available to Boeing employees enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored health care plan administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (including Embright Preferred Partnership plan options), you reside in Washington or Oregon, and you are a(n): ‍

Nonunion employee or early retiree
Employee or early retiree represented by unions* that align with nonunion medical benefits (IUOE Local 302 Power Plant, IAFF Local I-66 WA and SPFPA Local 2 and 5)
IAM 751 and W24 employees or early retiree

If eligible, your covered spouse or domestic partner and covered dependents (18+) who also reside in Washington and Oregon are eligible for care at Vera. Most Vera care centers offer acute care for pediatric dependents age 3+, however ongoing pediatric primary or preventive care is not available at this time. To schedule an appointment for acute care of a 3-17 year old dependent, please call us at (206) 607-8430 . Eligible employees and their family members 18+ can schedule online, on the My Vera app, or by calling (206) 607-8430 .‍

I don’t live near a care center, can I access Vera services?

Yes, Vera services are available to all eligible members throughout Washington and Oregon. However, for primary care, chronic condition management, and some acute care needs, an in-person appointment may be appropriate.

What will I pay for Vera services?

Through your Boeing benefits, Vera services are available at low- to no-cost to you:

*Advantage+ health plan members may be required to pay a small amount for certain services until they meet their annual deductible.
**Physical Therapy is available at our Central Everett, Minor & James, Totem Lake, and Fort Dent care centers. If your Vera provider at another care center location recommends physical therapy, or if your recommended care is better suited in a physical therapy setting, we will refer you to one of our partner clinics. Standard plan benefits will apply for physical therapy services performed outside of a Vera care center.
***Physical Therapists at Vera care centers are trained in spinal manipulation and can perform select chiropractic services onsite. If a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (D.C.) is required, Vera will refer you to a local D.C.. Standard plan benefits will apply for chiropractic services performed outside of a Vera care center.
****Each clinic has a select number of medications available to accommodate common first fill needs such as antibiotics. This provides an added convenience to leave the clinic with medication in hand. For all other prescription fills and ongoing maintenance medications you will use your local retail pharmacy or mail order service as normal.

Are Vera primary care providers accepting new patients?

All Vera providers are currently accepting new eligible patients. This includes our primary care providers (PCPs), primary care nurse practitioners, health coaches, behavioral health clinicians, and diabetes educators.

Can I make an appointment with a primary care doctor in the evening?

Check the hours of operation for the care center near you to confirm availability. Virtual visits are also available during care center hours.

What should I bring with me to an appointment with a Vera provider?

It's important to prepare before an appointment to make sure your primary care provider is well-informed and better equipped to deliver the highest quality care.

Here's what to bring to a Vera doctor's appointment:

Your insurance card
Your driver's license or another valid photo ID
A list of current prescription medications you're taking
A copy of your medical records from a previous primary care physician (if you have access to them)
Information about your health history, including any past surgeries or conditions
The name and contact info of your specialists
Any questions you may have
